Asuka, we loved it!

We went to Asuka last weekend with my family. The kids loved watching them cook the food at our table. Here are a few pictures from the evening. (Brynley LOVED the salad. It was too funny).

The kids loved today. I overheard Caleb telling his friend yesterday that he was so excited for Halloween and how he's been waiting for this day all year. Cute kid. Caleb was a vampire and Brynley was Cinderella. Brynley basically looked like she did every other day of the year since all she ever wears is princess dresses anyway, but that's ok.

We went to trunk or treating at the church and the kids loved being able to see their friends in their costumes. Brynley even saw ... are you ready for this ... SNOW WHITE! She was a little nervous at first but that was all she talked about for the rest of the night. I can't wait to get this girl to Disneyland. After trunk or treating we went trick or treating around the block. Our friend pointed out to us that this is "double dipping" in the neighborhood. Oh well.
Here's our vampire and immodest little Cinderella

Cute little cow.

Pretty good snow white, huh?

This was my halloween treat. An apple dipped in Costco's Saigon cinnamon. This is the best cinnamon EVER! I am proud to say I didn't even touch a BITE of the kids candy! Go me!

Aubrey's Blessing

We blessed Aubrey today. It was such a wonderful day. We had everyone from both sides of our family there. It was the best. The blessing was so nice. The circle included Daddy, both Grandpas, Uncle Dane, Uncle Roger, Uncle Jordan, Uncle Jeremy and Bishop Clay.

After the blessing we all went over to the clubhouse and had lunch. It was so fun to hang out with everyone who came in from out of town and to have everyone together. Thank you to all who came. You made it a wonderful day!

Baby Instructions

Aubrey is 5 weeks old today. I've noticed that I'm still a little rusty when it comes to taking care of a baby, so I picked up this informational pamphlet. It has been very helpful and it helped me realize I was doing many things completely wrong.

Biggest Loser Holiday Challenge

I want to do a Biggest Loser Holiday Challenge. Here's what I'm thinking of doing. It will cost $10 to play. Whoever loses the highest percentage of weight in 12 weeks will win all the money. I will set up a private blog with all the players as authors. The participants will check in weekly (or however they want to) with their progress (weight, measurements, pictures or whatever you want). I wanted to do it over the holiday to keep us all on track and motivated throughout the holidays. I know you're all thinking how is this fair since I just had a baby. But really I don't lose weight very fast while I'm nursing. My body likes to hang on to it. I can't lower my calories much so all my weight loss has to be through exercise.

Anyway, if you're interested leave a comment and I'll send you more info over email!

3 weeks

I don't have any pictures to post but I just thought I'd update with how we're doing. Aubrey is doing great. We are having some issues with nursing. I'm still really sore and she clicks when she sucks and it hurts. I have tried everything I can think of and it doesn't stop her clicking. I am probobly going to meet with a lactation consultant on monday. Hopefully it gets better soon.

She is still a really good baby. Last night she went a 4 1/2 hour stretch! And I got to sleep the whole time! It was great. She's starting to be awake more during the day and she is so content.

Three kids is not too much of an adjustment. I think because I have a good age spread. Caleb and Brynley play really well together so they keep each other entertained. We've even been to the store and the BYU bookstore just me and all the kids without incident. So, we're doing great around our house these days!

2 Weeks Old

Aubrey is 2 weeks old now! She is doing so great. She is the best baby so far. I don't want to jinx myself because I realize she is still so young but so far, she is a really good baby. A few days ago she decided she didn't need to be held to sleep anymore and she's been napping in her crib and sleeping in her crib at night. She has been waking up twice a night usually around 1am and 4 am. I can just feed her and put her down and go back to bed. It is so nice! She hasn't had a single day in her life so far where she's been awake at all at night. I really am lucky. And she's so stinkin cute too. I love looking at her and kissing her and holding her and kissing her. Did I mention I can't stop kissing her cute little face?
