My Valentines Day Date

For Valentine's Day last night, I took the kids out on a date. We went out for ice cream and then went to a Disney Choir Concert at Mountain View High school. The choir director is the Primary with me and she gave us tickets. We had so much fun! The kids loved it and were so good. The narrator was this "bigger" girl with dark hair and she was wearing a black formal dress. For some reason Brynley thought she was Cinderella.... hmmm.... Basically everything about her was completely opposite of Cinderella but thats ok. Brynley liked Cinderella and Cinderella did a great job.

The kids were very well behaved and the music was great! Thanks kiddos for taking me on a date when daddy couldn't. (That's info for another blog post... Aubrey's been very sick... fever of 103.6, choking cough, etc. So he stayed home with her so we could go.)

I've never been this color before...

Here's a picture of the new red hair for those of you I've promised it too. It looks redder in real life. I am in love with it. I don't ever, ever want it to fade. Anyone who needs an amazing "girl" go to mine! Her name is Stacy and this is her blog. Call her!

Disneyland Trip - Wednesday

Wednesday was our last day at Disneyland. Basically the plan was to start on the Tomorrowland side of the park doing rides we hadn't done and then hitting the favorites again.
Cute little baby

We all went on Matterhorn and Brynley loved it! She loves the fast ones! When did she get all brave?

Grandma and Brynley waited in line for Tinkerbell while the rest of us went on Space Mountain (which Caleb did NOT like, by the way). Tinkerbell was SO sweet. We loved her. She kept fixing Brynley's hair and calling her "little Tink", saying that Brynley looked just like her. Brynley was just beaming!

We waited in line for the Princesses again in hopes of meeting Cinderella, Snow White and Sleeping Beauty. We did get to see Cinderella but the rest were the same as the other day.

Caleb LOVED meeting Woody and Jessie. Woody was so funny with Caleb's Woody doll. He kept holding it up and looking at it comparing it to himself. It was hilarious.

On our way over to Pirate Island (what used to be Tom Sawyer's Island)

Gotta love Grandma and Grandpa!

The "princesses" on Pirates of the Caribbean ride. The first time we went on it Brynley looks at them and says, "Look, princesses!"

It was so sad. As we were walking out of the park, Caleb totally started crying. Not like a whining annoying cry, but a completely sad, alligator tear cry. It was the sadest thing in the world. I wanted to cry along with him. I was not ready to leave!

Brynley dealt with her exhaustion a little better...

That night we drove back to the Brown's house and slept there before our long trek home.

Thank you all for making this trip an amazing first family vacation for us!
