The first day we were there (well second day, the first day was sunday and we went to the ward Brandon grew up in) we went into Seattle to the Locks. The kids loved seeing the boats and watching the water go up and down.
After the locks we had lunch at Ivars (mmmm....) and then went to the Seattle Aquarium. We saw tons of fish, felt star fish, anemenes and sea urchins at the tide pools and saw seals, sharks and other sea life.
The next day we went up the Olympic Peninsula and stayed in an old house at Fort Flagler State Park. That was awesome and the kids had so much fun.
It was right on the coast so the first day we played at the beach. Brynley LOVED the beach!
Caleb found a big cliff to climb up and slide down on his bum. Luckily no jeans were harmed in the process.
The second day there we explored the old military bunkers and played in the woods. Caleb loved the dark tunnels back in the bunkers and Brynley loved walking through the woods. At the biggest bunker we had a pine cone fight and that was so fun!
The next day we cleaned up and came home and relaxed the rest of the day. My pregnant body was hurting after the exhausting trip!
The last day in Seattle we went to Point Defiance Zoo. The zoo was great! It was small (something I like in zoo's) and we pretty much had the place to ourselves. We got there around 2-ish and saw a ton of school buses. But then as we walked in we saw that all the school kids were leaving and the rest of the afternoon the place was ours! There is an aquarium in the zoo and they had full on baluga whales! They were awesome! They also had huge (3300 lb) walrus' that were amazing to watch. The kids loved it!
That is all the fun stuff we packed into one week! We can't wait to go again soon!

Wow! That looks like such a fun trip. Even growing up in Washington I've never been in downtown Seattle. It's on our list of trips someday. I love all the pictures, but my favorite is the one of Brandon and Brynley walking hand in hand--so cute! And I love your cute pregnant belly :)
