Happy Birthday!

The kids shared a birthday party this year.  We rented a private pool where they take swimming lessons and invited their friends.  They had SO much fun!  And I loved that I didn't have any messes at my house to clean up!

Caleb turned 9 this year.  I can't believe he is so old!  Caleb is such a nice boy.  Still.  Even at 9 years old.  He is very helpful around the house always helping me do things for the girls.  He is known for being really nice to new kids and including everyone while he plays.  He loves to ride bikes, play his Nintendo 3DS, and read Harry Potter.  

Brynley turned 7 this year.  She is a sassy, spunky and sweet one!  She is VERY good at cleaning and will often her a lot of marbles for her marble jar and go from room to room cleaning up.  She gets really motivated by her marble jar and gets on a roll and wants to do chore after chore.  She also loves to put Aubrey to bed.  Everything from brush her teeth, read to her and tuck her in!  She is such a nice sister.

Cahoots Duo Challenge

Brandon and I did the Tough Cahoots Duo Challenge a few weeks ago.  It was so much fun.  It is an obstacle course race for teams.  A lot of the challenges needed two people to get through them.  We were in the earliest heat so we didn't have to wait in line much but we hear the later heats had to wait a really long time for each challenge and that would have been really annoying.  We had a really fun time being together and working together.

 

Swimming Lessons

The girls took two sessions of swimming lessons each this summer.  Both of them did so awesome the second session.  I like doing two sessions because it seems like the first session is just a warm up and by the second session they are super stars in the water.

Ziplining in Provo?!

You sure CAN go Ziplining in Provo, UT!  Provo canyon to be exact.  We did it and it was so much fun.  The company is Max Zipline.  We had a groupon type deal so it was affordable too!  There were 5 line and they ranged from 600-1100 feet long.  You got going pretty fast but it really wasn't scary at all.  I'd recommend it to anyone!

Bear Lake

A couple weeks ago we met Brandon's parents, Jeremy and Angie and kids and Jordan and Erin at a condo in Bear Lake for the weekend.  It was so much fun!  The condo was fantastic and the kids loved running around with their cousins.  We played at the lake, went swimming, went through the Minnetonka caves and Brandon and I "played tennis".  Yes, I put that in quotes because I'm not sure you could really call what we were doing tennis.  But we looked cute doing it.  Or so I like to think.  It was a really fun weekend away!  That's Stan and Mary!

The kids were SO excited to see their new aunt!  They swarmed around her the minute she walked in the door!

Surfin' USA!!!

 This 4th of July we got to go see the Beach Boys preform on the 50th Anniversary Tour at Stadium of Fire!  It was SO much fun.  We prepped the kids by having them listen to beach boys pretty much non stop for a couple weeks before the concert.  I'm so glad we did because they knew a lot of the words.  Even Aubrey was singing, "Ba, ba, ba, ba, barbara ann".

Stadium of Fire has cut out a lot of the beginning stuff that they had last time we went.  The still had a few things before the Beach Boys but it was much shorter than I remember it being.  The most amazing was of course the fly over.  The did a few fireworks right as the jets flew over head.  It was awe inspiring.  Even Brynley said, "THAT was AWESOME!!" right after.  And I may or may not have teared up a little.  Ok, I did.  You got me.

Payson Lakes

On Saturday we took our raft up to Payson Lakes.  It was beautiful up there!  The weather was gorgeous and we had a fun time rowing around seeing all the little fishing spots around the edges of the lake.  I even fell asleep on the raft!  I was really tired.  It was a fun afternoon!
