Here are some pictures of her first week. We are doing great around here. She is a really good baby. My only complaint is that she will only sleep if she's being held so Brandon and I sleep all night in the rocker in her room. Hey, at least she's actually sleeping at night so we can't complain too much. I'm feeling great, recovery is going great. I'll update more when I can think and I'm not so tired. :-)

Aubrey Kate
Aubrey Kate is here! She joined us last night at 10:06 pm. She is 7 pounds even and 19 inches long. I will post pictures when I can. Here's the long story for those who are interested.
I started having little wimpy contractions yesterday around 2pm. By 3-ish they were sort of hurting a little. By 3:30 they started hurting more and were about every 2-5 min. I was not in the mood for another fake out so I decided I wasn't going to the hospital until I couldn't handle it anymore. I was supposed to go to work at 5:30 and at 5:00 I wasn't sure what to do because they were getting stronger and still 2-5 min apart. I work at a medical spa for a doctor and he said if I wanted to he could check me. I thought that's awkward but it would save me a trip to the hospital if I wasn't dilating anymore. At 5pm he said I was a "good four". By this point I couldn't talk or think through the contractions and he seemed pretty sure they wouldn't send me home. So I saw a couple clients and then left for the hospital. We got here around 7pm and I was really hurting. The nurse said I was still at a 4. I was pretty frustrated and started worrying that they'd send me home. They watched me for an hour and that was probobly the most painful hour of my life. At 8pm I was at a 4.5. Because of that and the fact that Aubrey's heart rate was dropping a lot when I would contract they admitted me and I got my epidural right away.
Ok, I don't really remember from before, but getting my epidural HURT! I'm not sure if he couldn't get it in the right spot or what but that was not a comfy thing going in. Anyway, he got it in and I started feeling better immediately. Because of the heart rate issue I had to wear an oxygen mask the whole time I was in labor. Kind of annoying but what do you do. At 9pm I was at a 4.5-5. I was starting to thing this was going to be a LONG night. At 9:15, my water broke (on it's own for the first time!). About every 5 min I was another cm dilated until a little before 10pm I was ready! I pushed a few times and she was born at 10:06pm on September 18th, 2008!
I am really proud of myself because with my other two kids I didn't want to feel any pain so I gave myself so much of that epidural it was crazy. I just kept pushing the button. This time I wanted to feel more of it so I didn't ever give myself another dose. I was actually a little nervous it would hurt but I wasn't feeling contractions much so the nurse said I would be fine. It was amazing. I felt her come out of my body. I felt myself stretch and I felt each part of her come out. It was crazy. Yet it didn't hurt one bit. I didn't need an episiotomy but I did tear a little bit where my old episiotomy was. Within a half hour I was walking. I couldn't walk for hours with my other two. I just can't believe how fast and great it was. I kept saying that afterwards. I kept saying I can't believe it's already over. We were only in the hospital for 3 hours and I was done! It was amazing.
She is so beautiful! She is a great little nurser. She's got the cutest litte scrunched up face. I will post pictures soon. I just can't beleive how happy I am and how much I already love her!

38 week fake out
It happened to me. What I thought would be the most embarassing thing ever. Yes, I had to take the walk of shame Monday night. I was the girl who THOUGHT she was in labor. I started having contractions monday evening. They were coming about every 5 min. When they got to every 2-3 min and really hurting we went in to the hospital. I was still a 3 when i got there. They monitered me for an hour. During that hour the contractions were really hurting and coming every 2-5 min. When she checked me after the hour I was like a 3+ (whatever that means) and she said she could tell I was changing but not fast enough. She called my dr and he said I could stay one more hour. Unfortunately that second hour they started really slowing down in frequency and intensity. I knew they were going to send me home. I used to think that this would be very embarassing. But at 10:30pm my bed, two children and a good night's rest were sounding really good to me. I wasn't at all dissapointed to be sent home to go to bed with only two children in my care. That feeling lasted a couple days. Now I'm ready to have her out of me again.
BYU vs UCLA
(I know I'll look back at this picture and just cringe...)
Our friend gave us four tickets to the BYU/UCLA game on Saturday. We gave two of them to my dad and Brandon's brother. We had a lot of fun and it was a great game! I was sure that day would put me into labor. I got my hair done at 8am, then we had a soccer game for Caleb, then the game, mexican food for dinner and then we went to brandon's brother's in-laws. I was gone for about 12 hours. But no such luck. I'm still pregnant and it's Thursday. I realized I'm only 38 1/2 weeks but it gets a little long at the end...

37 weeks and 2 days...
So it was this time right now that Caleb was born. I dont' mean to sound like I'm celebrating his birthday or anything. I just mean that he was born at 4:45am when I was 37 weeks and 2 days pregnant. All 6 pounds 3 oz of him! Wasn't he so stinkin cute? Little Aubrey has officially been in my belly longer than caleb now! Any time girlfriend. We're ready for ya!
(Did I fool anyone with the baby pictures at the top? Ha, ha)

$2 Dinosaur Museum?
All of August Thanksgiving Point did $2 Tuesdays where everything was only 2 bucks to get into including the Dinosaur Museum. We hit up the museum on the last Tuesday of August. It was a lot of fun and not as crowded as I thought it would be, probobly because school had already started. Here are your typical dinosaur museum pictures for ya.

37 Weeks - Full term!
Okay, can we check out the puffy face? I always get puffy face around this time and it's so yucky. Anyway, in two days I'll officially be full term! Whoohoo! Yesterday at the dr I was 80% effaced and dilated 3 cm. That's farther than I was at this point with Brynley (I was a 2 at 38 weeks with her and then i went into labor that night) and I can't remember how dilated I was at this point with Caleb but he was born at 37 weeks and 2 days which would be this wednesday. I know all babies are different but I don't really think I'll go more than a couple weeks if I'm already at a three... who knows though. I am to the point that they will induce me on the 22nd though if I haven't had her by then. They said I just needed to be a 2-3.
Anyway, feeling pretty yucky still. Lots of leg cramps and groin pain. Really bad. But it's more endurable now because I feel like the more active I am the sooner she'll come! Hopefully... I'll keep you all posted!
