Caleb's really short, really cute hair cut!

Isn't he handsome?!

Halloween Playgroup Party!

Our ward playgroup had a halloween party this morning. It was a lot of fun. We had an adorable witch costume for Brynley but she wouldn't even think about wearing it. She ran screaming "NOOOOO!" every time we got it out. So we tried her rooster costume from last year. She wore it for 5 min and then freaked out and wanted it off. So, I decided to let her just wear her jammies and we pretended she was going to a slumber party... Hey, whatever works. Back to the party. They played with "goo" at a table for a while and then decorated sugar cookies.

Caleb liked that. Brynley just wanted to eat the sprinkles.

Then we had a cake walk. The kids, especially Brynley, LOVED that! She stomped on every single number.

Brynley saw her favorite movie star at the party:

She was a little shy at first but slowly she warmed up:

She walked around after him the whole time saying "Finding Nemo, Finding Nemo". She got him!

Pumpkins at night...spooky.

Here are some pictures of the pumpkins at night. Don't they look so scary?!

Pumpkin Carving

Today we carved our pumpkins! We only carved two of them, one for Caleb and one for Brynley. I was so excited to be able to carve our pumpkins outside! It was so beautiful out today! I grew up carving pumpkins outside and I was so happy it was warm enough to do it outside today. Caleb and I cleaned out the pumpkins while Brandon found some faces on the computer. (He didn't want to free hand it). When Brandon came out to do the carving I went inside to roast the pumpkin seeds. I roasted them a little too long and they were pretty nasty. Oh well. Here are the finished pumpkin products. Caleb wanted his mean. Does it look mean to you?

These are just a couple of random cute pictures. Brynley got these new Dora jammies at Wal Mart yesterday and hasn't taken them off since we bought them. I think she looks so cute in them! Especially with her little headband. She looks like she's going to a slumber party or something! Too cute.

My NSCA study materials came today!

I am so excited that my stuff came today! I have to admit I am a little intimadated by this text book though. It is 700 pages and way bigger than any book I had to read at BYU! My econ book may have come close but I graduated 5 years ago so I can't really remember. There are 17 chapters so I am going to aim for learning a chapter a week and then allow a week for review. That should put me at taking the test at the end of February. Wish me luck!

Field trip to Hee Haws

Today Caleb's Preschool class took a field trip to Hee Haw's, a pumpkin patch in Pleasant Grove. It was a lot of fun but really crowded.

They have a bunch of animals that we looked at first. There were goats, bunnies, horses, turkeys and the biggest pig i've ever seen in my life. They said it weighed 1300 lbs!!

Then we went and ran around in some bales of hay and went through a little spook alley.

After that we went through a corn maze to this huge, really fun (kinda scary!) slide. Caleb loved going down the slide.

Brynley wanted to go down with me so we climb up these steep bales of hay to get to the top. She looks down and changes her mind. She absolutely does NOT want to go down this slide. I try to take her back down the bales of high to the bottom but they were too steep and there were tons of kids coming up. We had to go down the slide anyway. (I held her on my lap). This was her reaction at the bottom.

Another great two year old moment. I felt a little bad whipping out the camera instead of getting her up off the floor... but i had to have a picture! After the big scary slide we went on a fun hay ride.

By this time the kids were a little burned out. Then we got to pick out a small pumpkin to take home and we left. It was a tiring and busy but very fun morning!

Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

For family home evening on monday night we went to the pumpkin patch. It is this big pumpkin patch here in Springville where you get to cut your own pumpkins off the vine. It is so fun for the kids to climb around in the pumpkins and then pick their own and even cut it off the vine. Brynley was having a two year old moment in the car on the way there and was screaming so hard and was flailing her arms and kicking her legs. When I went to get her out of the car she wanted me to get her out of the door on the other side of the car. So I went over there. Then she changed her mind and wanted out the other door. So, I went back over there. You get the idea. After walking around the pumpkins for a little bit she calmed down. Our excuse was "Sorry, she's two." All in all, we had a great time at the pumpkin patch.

Fun with Kelly and Camping

Aunt Kelly was here this weekend!!! We had SO much fun with her. The kids love and miss her so much! When she walked into our house Caleb ran and jumped on her and Brynley kept giving her little tickle loves (ok, i don't know how else to describe the cute little motion she does). We went bowling at BYU with Bonkba (grandma) and Aunt Kelly. My expert bowlers once again bowled 101 and 95. (I have to add though that Brandon went bowling a few days ago with people at work over lunch and he bowled 135 inlcuding a turkey. This is without bumpers and a ramp, mind you.)

Ok, what is in her mouth?!

Brandon and Caleb went camping last night. Caleb has never been and we never really got around to it this summer. They braved the cold and went ahead and went anyway. Caleb loved the fall leaves on the ground and threw them every chance he had (so Brandon tells me... I wasn't there). They had a fire and "hotted" marshmallows. They got cold when they slept and didn't sleep very well. Caleb also had a scary dream where he "was in real monster teeth". Sounds scary! Brandon said that he was making wierd, scared noises in his sleep. Sad. They woke up and had another fire because it was still pitch black when they woke up. Thanks good old day light savings time. They had a great time and Caleb can't wait to go again "when it's warmer" he says.

No longer free...

I filled up my three free spots and even added a couple extra within a few mintues of posting here and sending out an email! I'm really excited! If any of you are still interested I can take clients for $20 a month or $60 for a 12 week period. This is still quite a bit cheaper than certified trainers charge, so it's still a great deal!

Want a free online Personal Trainer?

Ok, so I've been brainstorming ways I can make a few extra bucks doing something I love without having to leave my house for "parties" or anything like that. I have come up with an idea that I am really excited about. I have always wanted to become a CPT, certified personal trainer. But I don't want to physcially train people in the gym. At least, not right now. What I want to do is be an "online coach" or "online personal trainer". What this would involve is an assesment followed by personalized cardio and lifting routines and dietary recomendations. We would have weekly or every other week or so check in's and routines would change based on the results we were getting. I haven't worked out all the details yet. One of those small details is that I am not officially certified. While I do feel like I have a lot of knowlege, I don't have those certifications to make it official. I want to get them asap, but they are expensive. At the same time, I want to start practicing on people. I would love to get three clients and work with them for free for 3 months. And see how I do. Maybe then I would continue to take clients but have a fee. This would be a cheap service until I am officially certified and then I would raise my price to more of the industry standard.

Online training is perfect for people who already workout but just need a good program to follow or someone to be accountable to. Let me know if you or anyone you know would be interested in my three FREE openings!

New hair color!

Fun, fun! I got a new color job! I absolutely love it! It may not look that different in this picture but it's a bit lighter and a really pretty honey-ish color. Thanks again Stace! You're the best!
