Cool Kids

Gotta love kids in sunglasses! We played in the backyard in the sun for a long time today. It felt great! As I was putting on their sunscreen caleb said "Since we're wearing sunscreen can we go to the Scera Pool now?" He's really anxious to go swimming outside...

¡Bailamos!

My comment: Here's Brynley in the dress we got her in Cozumel on our cruise. She LOVED it! Anything she thinks she looks pretty in she loves. We gave her some maracas to dance around with just to seal the deal.

Brandon's comment: ju jus hab to lub our leettle ija. hhhere chee ees dancing da cha-cha-cha.

Bowling at the Wilk

Yesterday we went bowling with our friends, Nick and Alyssa Welsch. Caleb and their son Jace played games at the arcade for a bit while we were waiting for our lane.

Caleb and Jace were the only ones who bowled so that it wouldn't take forever. They had a lot of fun.

Caleb was very helpful by always getting the ball and giving it to Jace instead of letting him get it for himself. After a while Jace got bored of bowling so Caleb bowled for him. Meanwhile, Brynley was eating all of Ella's, their little girl's, goldfish and trying to feed her. Our kids are so overbearing and "helpful".

Hair cuts and Trauma

This morning I had a little "mom freak out" incident. Brandon got Brynley up this morning and brought her into the kitchen. She was holding her bear (aka beah) in one hand and her milk in the other hand. I was toasting a waffle for Caleb so I broke off a bite to give her. Fully expecting her to drop her bear for the waffle (she loves waffles) I was surprised when she didn't. I looked down and realized her hand wasn't actually holding her bear; her bear was somehow stuck to her arm. I knelt down to look and realized that the ribbon that goes around the bear's neck was also around her wrist and was twisted quite a few times. Her hand was three times as big as the other one and purple. I think it may have been numb because she didn't start crying until I starting untwisting the ribbon. Then she freaked. And of course, I freaked. I started rubbing it thinking it would help the circulation (who knows) and I called my dad, woke him up and don't even remember what he said because Brynley was hysterical and I was freaking out. I tried holding ice on it but you can imagine how that went over with a 20 month old. The color came back to her hand fairly quickly but it was still puffy as of tonight. Here's a picture. It's kind of hard to tell in the picture. It still looks like a baby hand, all puffy and fat.

We did have a great haircut experience this morning though. Caleb was such a good boy getting his haircut. He used to kick and scream and need to be restrained. This was only 6 months ago. He's gotten better each time and today I didn't even need to stay near him in the salon. I was chasing Brynley around the room and he sat in the chair by himself like a big boy. I was so proud!

Catching up on old times...

I thought I'd post some pictures from the last few months to catch you all up on things.
This is Caleb sporting his favorite winter sweater. He always wanted to wear either that or his sweats.

This is Brynley showing her style. She definately has her own sense of style and likes to show it off all to often. Sometimes she'll wake up in the morning and insist on tights over her pj's; then she'll get a skirt and want that on too; then she'll get her tennis shoes and want those on also. It makes for a great outfit. Some days after i get her dressed she goes into her closet and insists on a dress over her outfit. Funny girl.

My new hair cut for those of you who haven't seen yet.

Here are some pictures of our amazing vacation we took in January. We took a cruise to Honduras, Belize, Grand Caymen and Cozumel. We had so much fun. We went cave tubing, zip lining, laid out on the beach, slept in, took naps, and ate until we wanted to burst. Now, that's a vacation!

Easter

Here are a couple of pictures from Easter. The easter bunny brought Caleb a tee ball set and Brynley some sand toys to play with in our "sand box" in the back yard. After church we went to my parent's for dinner and an easter egg hunt. Both kids had fun on the hunt. Caleb got most of the eggs but Brynley didn't seem to mind to much.

Our first Post!

Hi friends and family!

We have just started this blog and I'm not quite sure how it works. I (lindsey) will probobly be doing a majority of the posting. Just so you know who "I" is. :-) I'm basically just doing this to post to figure out how to do this... so pictures and updates will come later.

Have a great day!
